How to Switch Between Video and Audio Player in MX Player

MX Player is a popular media player that can double as a video as well as an audio player. It also has two different interfaces to help you switch between video and audio. When you switch from video player to audio, it only lists music and MP3 files. By default, the video player will show the videos with thumbnails on the main screen. It is quite easy to switch between video and audio player mode in MX Player app for Android devices. It’s just checking and unchecking an option.

Here are the detailed steps to switch from video to audio player in MX Player for Android:

  1. Open options menu by tapping on ⋮
  2. Tap on Settings
  3. Tap on Audio
  4. Check the box that says, Audio player
Note: The app will refresh or you will have to close and open it when you make the switch from video to audio player. To switch back to video only mode, uncheck the same box and you’re good to go.
