MX Player has several options to make your video playing experience fit your needs. In your mobile device, the app allows you to freely change the aspect ratio of any visual media that is opened using the Android app. By default, it opens any video with the default width and height of the file. Some videos are stretched, and the width and height might not be right. You can correct such stretching of the video dimensionswith the app itself. We use the aspect ratio feature in MX Player for fixing the width and height of the video that is being played.
To change the aspect ratio and fix the width and height of videos playing in MX Player for Android:
MX Player tries to give us all the options related to setting a proper aspect ratio for our videos. The most helpful ones which are common according to the industry standards are listed out. It is highly likely that the first option 16:9 is the one that you are looking for. It is the most popular widescreen video format as of now.
If the given aspect ratios are not the one that you are looking for, the final option called Custom comes to use. In this option, you can enter your own ratio for the video. Enter any value in the Horizontal Ratio and Vertical Ratio fields. For example, if you enter 4 in Horizontal Ratio field and enter 3 in the Vertical Ratio area, you will make the on-screen video follow the classic 4:3 video format.
There’s also an additional option called Apply to all videos. If checked, the app will make the video aspect ratio a default standard for all the videos opened using MX Player. That means all the videos will stretch and pan in the same ratio. Some might want this option checked while most will not require it as we are trying to fix only one or a few videos.
