How to Remove jetAudio HD Music Player from notification bar and lock screen

When a musical track is played using jetAudio HD Music Player app for Android, it takes over a portion of the notification bar and the lock screen. Slide down the notification bar and there will be the basic controls and track information on it. Lock your phone, press the power button and the same controls are present in the lock screen as well. You can’t just slide away the widget using your fingers treating it like any other notification. It’s stuck to the notification bar and lock screen. To remove it, the jetAudio Android app must be exited properly. The feature can also be disabled from the preferences.

While having the controls on the notification bar and lock screen it handy, the ability to push it away would be much handier. So, here are the different methods to remove jetAudio HD Music Player form the notification bar and lock screen:

Method 1: Exiting the jetAudio App Completely

Don’t just switch away from the app or slide jetAudio from Android’s recent apps. It has to be exited. To do that:

  1. Tap on Options
  2. Tap on Exit

It will now remove the app from the notification tray as well as the lock screen. But if the jetAudio app is launched again and a music is played, it will be back. To disable the feature follow method 2.

Method 2: Disable Notification Icon and Default Lock Screen

  1. Tap on Options
  2. Go to Preferences
  3. Tap on Screen
  4. Tap on Default lock screen and choose No lock screen
  5. Uncheck the ☐ Show notification icon always

Method 3: Remove Permission for jetAudio app to Display Notifications and in Lock Screen

This final method won’t be required if you just used method 2. But if you want to dig into your Android’s System settings and remove the permission for jetAudio app (or any other application) to display notifications or on the lock screen then so be it.

Here are the steps to remove the notification and lock screen permission in Android:

  1. Go to ⚙ Android Settings
  2. Tap on Apps & notifications
  3. Tap on Notifications
  4. Tap on App notifications
  5. Find jetAudio in the list and then, tap on it
  6. Turn off the notification by dragging the slider toward the left

You can also disable individual settings like Allow notification dot, Allow interruptions, choose the Don’t show notifications at all option from On the lock screen. They will have similar impact but to a lower degree.
